I’m working toward an exciting goal: attempting to set a Guinness World Record for the largest number of teddy bears attached to a motorcycle. My goal is to load 200 teddy bears onto my motorcycle and ride with them during the annual Teddy Bear Ride in Frisco, Texas, an event benefiting the Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County. I’m honored to be sponsored by Foster Friends as part of this special effort. The ride will begin at IKEA in Frisco, travel north to Celina, head east toward Highway 75, and then continue south into Plano, where we’ll finish at the Harley-Davidson Financial building and deliver the teddy bears.
The real purpose behind the ride goes far beyond the record attempt. The teddy bears are donated to the Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County, where they are used to help comfort children who have been removed from difficult or unsafe family situations and brought to the center for support and protection. Giving each child something soft and comforting during an incredibly challenging time is what makes this event so meaningful. With the support of Foster Friends, this effort helps shine an even brighter light on the importance of coming together for children in need. At the end of the ride, participants and families can also enjoy a community celebration featuring a variety of vendors, food trucks, and live musicians on stage. It’s a unique opportunity to bring the community together, support an important cause, and hopefully make a little history along the way.
